In fact, bejeweled is exactly how Hannah Waddingham’s Ted Lasso character ends up in the premiere episode of the Apple TV show’s fourth season after stumbling upon Dazzle Me Moi, a local Kansas City boutique blessed by Taylor Swift’s influence.
As Rebecca, Keeley Jones (Juno Temple) and Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift) visit Ted (Jason Sudeikis) in Kansas City to try to convince him to return to England to coach AFC Richmond’s new women’s team, the ladies embark on a shopping spree.
And though Rebecca is initially put off by the store’s rhinestone-covered pantsuits, she is soon charmed by the owner, who explains how she became such a local success.
“Used the cash for my divorce settlement—figured it was about time to be my own boss,” the shop owner told Rebecca and Keeley in the Aug. 5 episode. “The only thing I didn’t consider was a goddamn recession.”
However, Dazzle Me Moi was lifted from the lavender haze of financial stress thanks to the Grammy winner’s Eras Tour stop in the city.
